It's Getting Close!!
One of my favorite things about my job is the finishing touches. This is where everything starts coming together and a house truly starts looking like a home. We are currently filming four renovations that we are about half way done with; I love this point of the projects because all the demo is complete and this is where we get to start putting all these houses back together. Cabinets, paint, and flooring are happening this week. I can't wait for you to see these home transformations on HGTV when they air in March. I feel like I am in a constant giddy state- every time I walk into the homes I get so excited about how what we designed on paper is actually coming to life in these spaces...and then I get even more excited when I remember that we have our own renovation going on and IT IS ALMOST DONE!
I camped out at the farmhouse this weekend and watched every fixture go up. I am super weird when it comes to where a chandelier should hang so my electrician got to play the up and down game with me. I drove the poor guy nuts I just know it.
My welder put up half the stair rails for me this weekend. When I pondered the design of the stairs I really wanted an industrial look and I knew I wanted black. With all the white going on, the railing will tie in to all the black light fixtures.
Concrete counter tops get formed tomorrow. After that, the backsplash and open shelving will get installed.
Tuesday the floors get stained. I have no idea what color I am going to do yet. The dark stain is rich and pretty but the light natural color makes the space feel open and airy?!??
Friday I am moving all the Magnolia Fall Show goodies in the farmhouse! It's crunch time! I can't wait for the show on October 17. I dreamed of this two years ago and now we are less than two weeks away!
There will be fall arrangements, Christmas decor, unique finds, home decor, and every kind of Christmas gift option imaginable. You won't want to miss this one.
And these cuties will be pinned up and waiting for you to feed them animal crackers. They can't wait to meet you!
Have a great week and enjoy this FALL weather folks!
